Vladimír Dravecký (born June 3, 1985 in Košice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Oceláři Třinec in the Czech extra league since July 2014 .
Career
Vladimír Dravecký began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Košice , for whose professional team he was active in the extra league from 2001 to 2007 . During this period, the winger also gathered several game practice with teams from the second-class first division . These were the HK VTJ Trebišov , PHK Prešov and the HKm Humenne .
From 2007 to 2009 Dravecký played for the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League . He was also used in the 2007/08 season for the Reading Royals in the ECHL . For the 2009/10 season, he returned to his native Slovak, in which he and his former club HC Kosice champion was. For the following season , the national player was signed by KHL newcomer HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk , but returned to HC Košice in November after only seven KHL appearances and another eight for their cooperation partner Molot-Prikamje Perm from the Wysschaja Hockey League which he was again champion at the end of the season.
In May 2012 Dravecký received a contract with KHL newcomer HC Slovan Bratislava , for which he completed 24 KHL games before he had to pause with a broken rib. At the turn of the year 2012/13, his current contract was terminated prematurely. In January 2013, Dravecký was signed by the Espoo Blues until the end of the season.
In July 2014 Dravecký was signed by HC Oceláři Třinec from the Czech Extraliga and reached the Czech runner-up with this in April 2015.
International
For Slovakia , Dravecký took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2003 and the 2010 World Championship in Germany . At the 2010 World Cup, he remained pointless in six games and received two penalty minutes.
