Wladlen Konstantinowitsch Trostjansky
Wladlen Konstantinowitsch Trostjanski ( Russian Владлен Константинович Тростянский ; born January 26, 1935 in Kiev ; † July 28, 2014 ibid) was a Soviet wrestler . He was a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 .
Career
Wladlen Trostjanski comes from the Ukraine . There he started wrestling in his youth and after his first major successes was delegated to "Spartak" Kiev . In Kiev he developed into an excellent wrestler in the Greco-Roman style.
In 1960 he represented the Soviet Union in an international match in Kiev against the Federal Republic of Germany and won over Ewald Tauer from Munich- Neuaubing on points. In 1961 he took part in an international combat trip of the Soviet national wrestling team in the FRG and defeated Fritz Stange from Untertürkheim , Werner Fink from Hombruch and Sylvester Schmid from Hallbergmoos in three fights .
In 1961 he was the first Soviet bantamweight champion in front of Fischmann and Mnachakian, both of whom also came from Kiev. In the same year he won the Soviet Union Spartakiad.
He came to his first use in an international championship at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He stayed there in five bantamweight fights without defeat, came on four point wins and a draw against the Czech Jiří Švec , which gave him the opportunity to fight for the gold medal against the Japanese Masamitsu Ichiguchi . However, he lost this fight.
Vladlen made his second start in an international championship at the 1966 World Cup in Toledo / USA . There he could not convince, because he was defeated after two wins against weaker opponents against the Japanese Kōji Sakurama and the Turks Ünver Besergil and so only came in 5th place.
Wladlen Trostjanski never came to any other missions. After finishing his active career, he worked for a long time as a coach in his hometown of Kiev.
