Vlado Papić (born September 21, 1968 in Zagreb ) is a former Croatian football player .

Career

Center forward Vlado Papić began his professional career at Hajduk Split and was still active in his home country for Dinamo Zagreb and NK Zagreb . In 1991 he moved to the regional league club VfL Rheinbach and rose with the team to the Mittelrhein Association League . After the end of the season Papić moved to MSV Duisburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . With the "Zebras" he was runner-up behind SC Freiburg at the end of the 1992/93 season and was promoted to the Bundesliga . In the summer of 1994, Vlado Papić moved to FC Gütersloh in the then fourth-class Oberliga Westfalen .

With Gütersloh he was first in the 1994/95 season champion of the Oberliga Westfalen and a year later champion of the Regionalliga West / Südwest . After these two ascents in a row, he moved to the regional division Eintracht Trier in 1998 . With Eintracht he was runner-up in the Regionalliga West / Southwest behind Alemannia Aachen in the 1998/99 season . In the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga, the Trier failed to Kickers Offenbach . In the summer of 2000, Vlado Papić moved to the first division club 1. FC Magdeburg .

With the Magdeburg team he became champions of the southern season of the Oberliga Nordost in the 2000/01 season and, after winning the relegation against BFC Dynamo, made it to the regional league. A year later Magdeburg had to file for bankruptcy and forcibly relegate. Papić then moved to the regional league team SSV Jahn Regensburg in the summer of 2002 . With Jahn he became runner-up in the Regionalliga Süd behind SpVgg Unterhaching in the 2002/03 season and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Vlado Papić, however, moved to regional division FC Augsburg and ended his career there in 2004.
