Volkan Çekırdek (born February 6, 1992 in Hamburg ) is a German-Turkish soccer player who was last under contract with the Turkish tff 2. lig club Sivas Belediyespor until May 30, 2016

Çekırdek, who has played seven international youth matches for Turkey, became German A youth champions in 2010 with Hansa Rostock . In 2011 Çekırdek moved to the Turkish second division team Kasımpaşa Istanbul , where he was initially used in the A2 team. It was not until the last game of the 2011/12 season , which ended in a 3: 3 draw against Bucaspor on May 13, 2012 , that Çekırdek made his debut for the first team, which reached promotion to the Süper Lig at the end of the season.

The following season Cekirdek moved to Çorum Belediyespor . On January 30, 2014, Cekirdek moved to Germany, to TSG Neustrelitz, where he became champion with the team in the Regionalliga Nordost.

On August 28, 2014 he then moved back to Turkey to the Turkish third division club Sivas Belediyespor, where he was promoted to tff at the end of the season. 2. lig made it.

Cekirdek was under contract with Sivas until May 30, 2016.
