Volker doctor

Volker doctor (* 1941 's), a German graduate physicist , science journalist , TV presenter and author .

He was best known for the bestseller Do animals have a consciousness? which he wrote together with Immanuel Birmelin. Doctor was editor-in-chief of GEO-Film from 1984 to 1990 and has worked as a freelance writer since 1990, primarily for ZDF .

Among other things, he moderated the ZDF series Cross Section together with Hoimar von Ditfurth , in the programs The Balance of the Biosphere and Tilting the Climate Balance? As early as 1978, he described the man-made climate catastrophe - through our use of coal , oil and natural gas - and warned of its consequences .

Honors

He has received numerous national and international awards for his television documentaries, including the European Environment Prize , the Canadian "Rocky", the Japan Prize, the "Nautilus" in bronze, silver and gold as well as the best science film at the International Nature Film Festival GREEN SCREEN Eckernförde. In 2009, Volker Arzt received the Görlitzer Meridian Naturfilmpreis for his complete cinematic work. In 2018 he received the Heinz Sielmann Film Prize for surprise eggs at the GREEN SCREEN Festival .
