Volker Hartenstein

Volker Hartenstein (born May 17, 1943 in Winterhausen ) is a German politician (non-party, formerly Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Career

Hartenstein attended elementary and high school and studied chemistry and sport in Würzburg for a higher teaching degree . He spent his legal traineeship in Nuremberg , Aschaffenburg and Schweinfurt , majoring in physics. From September 1971 he worked at the Christian von Bomhard School in Uffenheim , most recently as director of studies, head of chemistry and advisory teacher. He is a founding member of the German Environmental Foundation .

In 1980 Hartenstein became a member of the Greens. In 1988 he became the Greens parliamentary group spokesman at the district level. From 1984 to 2002 he was a member of the city council in Ochsenfurt and the district council in Würzburg , from 1990 he was parliamentary group spokesman in both bodies. From 1994 to 2003 he sat in the Bavarian state parliament . In 1999, however, he left the Greens, so that he was a non-attached member of the state parliament .
