Volkhard Franz

Volkhard K. Franz (born March 1, 1954 in Hann. Münden ) is a German civil engineer and construction manager .

Life

Volkhard Franz studied at the Comprehensive University of Kassel (GhK) , today's University of Kassel. In 1989 he became a Dr.-Ing. In Kassel with his work "Planning and controlling complex building processes through simulation with modified higher Petri nets " . PhD . He taught at the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences .

In 1996 he received a call to the Professorship for construction organization and construction methods the department of architecture, urban planning and landscape design of the then University of Kassel. He has also been Managing Director of the Institute for Construction Industry (IBW) since 2000, succeeding Wolfgang Rösel .

Franz's teaching and research area is work technologies in construction, in particular the simulation and control of construction and production processes.

He is a publicly appointed and sworn expert for construction price issues, invoices and construction time delays by the IHK Kassel as well as an international expert for construction prices and construction invoices certified according to ISO 17024, 2003.
