Siegbert Keller

Siegbert Keller (born November 26, 1937 in Kiel ; † October 15, 2015 ) was a German architect and construction economist .

Life

Siegbert Keller graduated to a science high school in Ulm first a doctrine as bricklayers and concrete workers. From 1957 to 1963 he studied architecture at the TH Darmstadt . After graduating, he first worked in an architecture office, then as a research assistant and lecturer at the TH Darmstadt and the FH Darmstadt . In 1969 he was at the Architecture Faculty of the Technical University of Darmstadt with the work on algorithmisierten planning process (planning mathematics) PhD . With the help of a habilitation grant from the German Research Foundation (DFG) , he completed his habilitation in 1974 with a thesis on computer simulation models in planning processes.

In 1974, he received a call to the chair of Construction and Planning Administration at the University of Kassel (GhK) . He has been the dean of the architecture, urban and landscape design department and chairman of the examination board. He was particularly involved in the development and expansion of university IT technology. In 1998/1999, together with Wolfgang Rösel and Volkhard Franz , Keller was the founder of the Institute for Construction Industry (IBW) at the University of Kassel. In 2003 he retired and continued to give lectures.

Siegbert Keller last lived in Berlin and was married to Annette-Maria Toeffling-Keller, the daughter of the Berlin painter Werner-Viktor Toeffling .

Act

From 1987 to 2002 he was a member of the expert committee for planning and construction projects at the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing . He was the author of the standard work building cost planning for architects as well as numerous essays on socio-economic issues. He was a member of the Federal Building Culture Foundation .

He was co-initiator of the Berlin Salon '95 for culture-society-science . He was also a co-founder of the Werner Viktor Toeffling Foundation in Berlin.

Cartell Association

Siegbert Keller had been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. since 1957 . Nassovia Darmstadt zu Darmstadt in the CV and was their Philistine Senior from 1983 to 1995. 1982/1983 he was chairman of the local committee for the preparation of the 97th Cartel meeting, which took place in 1983 in Darmstadt. In 1984 he was elected to the CV Altherrenbund, from 1987 first deputy chairman of the CV council , and from 1987 to 1991 president of the CV academy .

From 1991 to 1995 Siegbert Keller was chairman of the CV-Altherrenbundes and the CV-Rat , the highest body of the Cartell Association of German Catholic Student Associations . On his initiative, significant future-oriented perspectives were discussed in the Cartell Association of Catholic German Student Associations.
