The Volksbank eG, Fred Beck-Oldendorf-Ahlerstedt , is a German cooperative bank in the legal form of a registered cooperative based in Fredenbeck . It was created in 2016 through the merger of Volksbank Fredenbeck-Oldendorf and Volksbank eG, Ahlerstedt .

History of the Volksbank Fredenbeck

Volksbank Fredenbeck was created through several amalgamations of individual savings and loan funds in today's business area, the combined communities of Fredenbeck, Farven and Heinbockel - Hagenah .

In 1892 the savings and loan bank was founded in Kutenholz - Mulsum , in 1924 the savings and loan bank in Farven- Byhusen and in 1925 the savings and loan bank in Kutenholz and in Fredenbeck.

From these four banks, the Volksbank Fredenbeck, based in Fredenbeck, emerged over the years. Initially, at the end of the sixties, the savings and loan funds from Byhusen and Kutenholz as well as from Mulsum and Fredenbeck came together. In the seventies they then changed their company name to Volksbank eG. During the last merger in 1986, the two banks became Volksbank eG, Fredenbeck with its two branches in Kutenholz and Mulsum.

History of Volksbank Oldendorf

Volksbank Oldendorf was founded on June 13, 1897 as a savings and loan fund Oldendorf by 55 members consisting of farmers, innkeepers, mill owners, retirees and craftsmen. They came from the towns of Graepel , Kranenburg , Estorf , Sunde, Kaken and Oldendorf.

The bank was founded in 1911 and was previously called the savings and loan fund.
