The Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe eG is a German cooperative bank . The business area includes the Rhein-Hunsrück and Birkenfeld districts as well as parts of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district .
history
The Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe eG emerged from several small institutes. The founding years of these banks go back to 1871. In 1999, Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Naheland eG emerged from Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Idar-Oberstein eG and Raiffeisenbank Birkenfeld eG, which in June 2009 together with Volksbank Hunsrück eG became today's Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe eG. Volksbank Hunsrück eG, on the other hand, emerged from a merger in 2000 between Volksbank Kirchberg-Hunsrück eG and Hunsrück Bank eG. Raiffeisenbank “Idarwald” eG also joined the newly created bank in 2006.

The bank operates six larger branches in Simmern , Idar-Oberstein , Kirchberg , Birkenfeld , Rhaunen and Sohren as well as another 10 branches and some self-service branches. Both private and corporate customers are advised and supported here. The core business is the deposit and loan business. The bank also sells products from companies in the cooperative financial network.

The central bank of Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe eG is DZ Bank . As a cooperative bank, it is also integrated into the cooperative financial group. Its network partners include Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall , R + V Versicherung , Union Investment and easyCredit . Volksbank Hunsrück-Nahe is a member of the protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV (BVR).
