Volkswagen Junior Masters by country
Germany
To date, the tournament has developed into the largest youth football competition in Germany in the age groups of C-Juniors. With 345 participating teams, a new participant record was reported in the current 2011/2012 season. The interesting mix of teams from smaller and larger clubs has been cultivated over the years and has therefore not been lost.
Another special feature there is the staging of the final in the Volkswagen Arena before the start of a Bundesliga game by VfL Wolfsburg .
competition
The tournament games will be played in the seven Volkswagen regions (north, east, center, south, south-west, west, Rhine-Main). All D-Juniors and C-Juniors teams who have a game permit from their national association for the current season may take part in the tournament.
In the preliminary round, the participating teams play out winners in groups of 4 and 5, who then qualify for the Regiomasters, the regional qualifying competitions in the regions. The C-Juniors qualify directly for the finals in Wolfsburg due to the lower number of participating teams.
