Vollrath von Krosigk
Vollrath (also: Vollrat) Freiherr von Krosigk (born May 31, 1819 in Poplitz ; † August 18, 1889 ibid) was a German manor owner, court official and parliamentarian.
Life
Vollrath Freiherr von Krosigk was born as the son of the manor owner Dedo Freiherr von Krosigk and his wife Auguste, née von Hagen, on the Poplitz manor . His siblings included Antonie Emilie Auguste (1811–1877), Louise (1814–1841), Friederike (“Freda”, 1815–1886), Sophie (1815–1873), Hermann (1824–1886) and Bernhard von Krosigk (1833 -1855).
Act
Vollrath von Krosigk attended the Magdeburg Abbey High School and the Brandenburg Knight Academy . After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Bonn and became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn in 1840 . After completing his studies, he held the title of trainee lawyer. D., and military service, he took over the management of the Poplitz estate from his father in 1847 . With the introduction of modern agricultural machinery as well as new cattle breeds and seeds, he expanded Poplitz into a model estate. The orchards he created were considered model gardens in the province of Saxony . The Provincial Fruit Model Garden in Diemitz was based on his suggestion.
Vollrath von Krosigk was an inheritance sess and since 1865 Prussian chamberlain . He took part in the Franco-German War as a captain. He was a long-time member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Saxony . In 1880 he became its chairman and chairman of the provincial committee. Von Krosigk was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1888 to 1889 a member of the Prussian mansion .

On November 11, 1842, Vollrath von Krosigk married Auguste Louise Elisabeth ("Betty") von Röder (1824-1856) in Berlin . From this marriage emerged:

On January 3, 1858, he married Louise Albertine von Krosigk (1819–1889) in Gröna , a daughter of his father's brother Anton Emil von Krosigk . From this marriage, Anton Ferdinand von Krosigk (1858–?) Emerged as the only adult .
