Dedo Freiherr von Krosigk (born March 14, 1776 in Poplitz , † March 21, 1857 in Naumburg (Saale) ) was the owner of a manor in Poplitz, Laublingen, Mukrehna and Besedau as well as Benkendorf , hereditary sess , royal Prussian secret councilor, district administrator of the Saalkreis , dean of the Naumburg Monastery and Knight of the Order of St. John .

Life

He comes from the noble family Krosigk , who lived in the Saalkreis , and was the eldest son of Ferdinand Anton von Krosigk , lord of the Majorat Poplitz, and Dorothea Luise, née von Cramm . In 1807 he married Auguste von Hagen (1786–1840) in Nienburg . This marriage ended in divorce. The adult children Antonie Emilie Auguste (1811–1877), Louise (1814–1841), Friederike (“Freda”, 1815–1886), Sophie (1815–1873), Vollrat (1819–1889), Hermann (1824) went out of her –1886) and Bernhard (1833–1855). Vollrat's daughter Clara (1844–1916) married Friedrich Joachim von Alvensleben , the district administrator of the Neuhaldensleben district, in 1863. Dedo von Krosigk's brothers included Heinrich , Ludwig , Ernst , Friedrich and Anton Emil von Krosigk .

From 1809 to 1816 he owned the two manors Benkendorf and Delitz am Berge in today's Saalekreis , which he had bought from his cousin Heinrich August von Holleuffer .

In 1816 he took over the function of district administrator in the Saalkreis. After the death of his friend, District Administrator Anton von Hardenberg , he became the guardian of his underage children. On October 15, 1840, King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia granted him the dignity of an inheritance from the Duchy of Magdeburg and made him a baron. He was a member of the Halle Masonic Lodge "To the three swords".
