history
The settlement name Vorend goes back to the name of the same name , which is recorded in the original cadastre in the area of today's street Am Vorend . A small settlement already existed here in the 19th century, which was called Voreng in the vernacular around 1820 .
etymology
The name Vorend comes from the agricultural language and describes the last piece of a field.
