The 1958/59 season was the seventh regular season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The Seattle totems became champions .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season the league was divided into two divisions (Coast and Prairie). The top four teams in the Coast Division and the top three teams in the Prairie Division qualified for the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
