The 1964/65 season was the 13th regular season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The champions were the Portland Buckaroos .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Denver Invaders were moved to Victoria , British Columbia , and changed their name to Victoria Maple Leafs

In the regular season, the six teams played 70 games each. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
