The 1953/54 season was the second regular season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The champions became the Calgary Stampeders .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, six of the seven teams played 70 games, while one team only played 60 games. The six best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first-placed team only having to intervene in the semi-finals against the sixth-placed team. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
