The WTA Biel (officially: Ladies Open Biel Bienne ) was a men's tennis tournament of the WTA , which in April 2017 Biel / Bienne in Switzerland was held. A total of 32 players competed in singles and 16 pairings in doubles. The tournament belonged to the WTA “International” category and took place immediately after the American tournaments in Indian Wells and Key Biscayne. In 2018 the tournament moved to Lugano .

Stadion

The tournament was held in the national performance center Karl-Heinz Kipp of Swiss Tennis in Biel. The new hall, which is to be built at a cost of CHF 8.5 million, offers space for 3,000 spectators and is scheduled to open in February 2017.
