The constituency Uusimaa (Constituency 02) is one of 13 Finnish constituencies for elections to the Finnish parliament and the President of the Republic of Finland . It includes the Finnish landscape of Uusimaa , with the exception of the capital Helsinki , which forms its own constituency . In the parliamentary elections, each constituency is entitled to a certain number of seats in parliament based on the number of inhabitants, the constituency of Uusimaa currently has 35 seats.

The Finnish capital Helsinki belonged to Uusimaa until the parliamentary elections in 1951 , and since the parliamentary elections in 1954 it has formed its own constituency. Until then, and again since the parliamentary elections in 1975 , Uusimaa has the most MPs.
