The constituency of Pirna I was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 35. The constituency structure was changed for the 1994 and 1999 state elections . The area of ​​the constituency of Pirna I became part of the constituencies of Saxon Switzerland 1 and Saxon Switzerland 2 .

The constituency comprised the following seven municipalities in the district of Pirna : Birkwitz-Pratzschwitz , Dorf Wehlen , Graupa , Pirna , Rathen , Stadt Wehlen and Wünschendorf . The other municipalities in the district were recorded via the constituency Pirna II (36).
