The Walcott Peak is a large and around 1700 m high nunatak in the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southern part of the Guthridge Nunatakker in the Gutenko Mountains, it rises halfway between Mount Jukkola and Lokey Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Lieutenant Fred Perry Walcott of the Civil Engineer Corps of the United States Navy , head of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1973.
