The Waldberg in the Ebbegebirge is about 638 m above sea level. NHN high foothills of the Nordhelle in the western part of the Sauerland in the Märkisches Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .
The wooded forest mountain lies within the Ebbegebirge nature park in the city triangle of Herscheid in the north-north-west, Meinerzhagen in the west and Attendorn in the east, around 1.2 km east-south-east of Nordhelle and is an extension of the latter, as its notch height is only around 3 m. To the north the landscape slopes down to the upper reaches of the Oester , known as the Ebbebach , and to the south along another Ebbebach to the Ihne .
On the Waldberg there is a transmitter with the Ebbegebirge telecommunications tower and a trigonometric point about 70 m north-north-west of the tower : 632.2 m . According to the contour line visible on current topographic maps , the summit is built over and is about 638 m above sea level or just above it.
