Valery Alexandrovich Abramov

Valeri Alexandrowitsch Abramov ( Russian Валерий Александрович Абрамов , English transcription Valeriy Abramov ; born August 22, 1956 in Jerzewo , Arkhangelsk Oblast , † September 14, 2016 in Moscow ) was a Soviet long-distance runner .

Career

National successes

In 1978 Abramov was the Soviet champion over 1500 meters and 1987 over 10,000 meters .

In the hall he won four national titles over 3000 meters (1978, 1981-1983) and one over 1500 meters (1983).
