Valery Boschinow was born in Bulgaria and grew up in Malta , where he immigrated as a child with his mother, a former national volleyball player. There he was discovered at the age of 13 by the then sports director of the Italian club US Lecce , Pantaleo Corvino , and signed up for the equivalent of around 15,000 euros. Boschinov was considered a great talent and made his Serie A debut on January 22, 2002, at the age of only 15 years and 11 months . He is the youngest player in history in the top Italian division.

During the winter break of the 2004/05 season , Boschinow then moved from Lecce to Fiorentina for around 13 million euros , where he never quite made the breakthrough.

For the 2006/07 season Valeri Bojinov went on loan to Juventus , the straight in the series B were zwangsabgestiegen. In return, the Turinese sold the Romanian Adrian Mutu to the Fiorentina. Juve had a purchase option and could have signed him for six million euros at the end of the season, but did not take it. During the entire season, Boschinow was only used sporadically under coach Didier Deschamps , to the incomprehension of experts and fans. Often he was only brought on in the final stages and was barely able to show his potential. After the season he left Juve disappointed and went back to Florence.

In August 2007, Valery Boschinov moved to the English club Manchester City in the Premier League for eight million euros , where he signed a contract until 2011. On the third day of the match, at the derby against Manchester United , he was seriously injured with a cruciate ligament tear on his left knee.

After he came to only eleven Premier League appearances at Manchester City in two years, Boschinow went on loan to the Italian club FC Parma in the summer of 2009 . On July 4, 2010, the club announced the attacker's definitive commitment.

In the summer of 2011 Boschinow was signed by Sporting Lisbon, from where he was awarded to US Lecce for the second half of the 2011/12 season. He also spent the first half of the 2012/13 season on loan. Hellas Verona . He was then loaned to Vicenza Calcio .

After an interlude at Levski Sofia 2014, Boschinow was under contract with Ternana Calcio in the Italian Serie B in 2014/15 . In 2015 he moved to the Serbian champions FK Partizan Belgrade .
