Valkyrie Romance: Shōjo Kishi Monogatari ( Japanese ワ ル キ ュ ー レ ロ マ ン ツ ェ 少女 騎士 物語 , Warukyūre Romance: Shōjo Kishi Monogatari , dt. " Valkyrie Romance: stories of knight girls") is a Ren'ai adventure game - Erogē the game developer. It was first released for PC as an adult game on October 28, 2011. The game later received a sequel and has been adapted through various mediums including a novel, several manga series, and an anime television series.

The protagonist of the game is Takahiro Mizuno ( 水 野 貴 弘 , Mizuno Takahiro ) , who attends the prestigious Winford Academy ( ウ ィ ン フ ォ ー ド 学園 , Winfōdo Gakuen ) , which specializes in the Tjost - lance duel in tournament armor on horseback - as a sport. Even an extremely talented athlete in this field, he had to give it up due to an injury and now takes care of the horses and advises other knights. As the annual school tournament is approaching, several girls want him as their "companion" ( ベ グ ラ イ タ ー , Beguraitā ) , as the assistant and advisor of a tournament participant is called. Valkyrie romance is after Princess Lover! Ricotta's second game and also takes place in a European high society setting. Hare Kitagawa was responsible for the overall scenario, while as with Princess Lover! the character design comes from Kei Komori. Originally scheduled for winter 2009, the game was finally released for Windows on October 28, 2011 in Japan. A download version followed on October 4, 2013.
Due to the success, the production of a spin-off called Walkure Romanze: More & More ( ワ ル キ ュ ー レ ロ マ ン ツ ェ More & More) was announced in August 2012 , which was released on October 25, 2013. In this, both the secondary characters Akane Ryūzōji, Bertille Althusser and Ayako Hiiragi from the main game have been upgraded to main characters, with whom a relationship can also be established, and additional secondary characters have been added. Four manga adaptations by different authors were published for the computer game .
In ASCII Media Works ' manga magazine Comic Dengeki Daio 2012 (issue 5/2012) and May 27 an adaptation appeared between March 26, 2013 (issue 7/2013) of Mitsu King ( 蜜キング ). The chapters that adapt the game's Mio route were published in two edited volumes on November 27, 2012 ( ISBN 978-4-04-891188-7 ) and August 27, 2013 ( ISBN 978-4-04-891847-3 ) ( Tankōbon ) summarized.
A second manga by Manoe Nagisa ( 渚 ま の あ ) was published in the Ab-18 magazine Dengeki Hime from the same publisher between May 30, 2012 (issue 7/2012) and its cancellation on September 28, 2012 (issue 11/2012 ) published, which focused on the character Noel.

The cover illustrations are by Kei Komori.
Anime
The animation studio Eight Bit adapted the game as a 12-part anime television series. The direction was held by Yūsuke Yamamoto , while the character design of Ken'ichirō Katsura was adapted for the anime. This was first broadcast from October 7 to December 23, 2013 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) on Tokyo MX and with an offset of up to three days on Sun TV , AT-X , KBS Kyōto and TV Aichi . At the same time as the Japanese broadcast, an English subtitled version was streamed worldwide (except Asia) on Crunchyroll .
The music for the anime comes from Ryōsuke Takanishi . The opening credits Un-Delayed was sung by Miyuki Hashimoto and the closing credits MoonRise Romance by Natsuko Asō .
