Wallenried is a district of the Upper Swabian market Dirlewang in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The desert is about three kilometers south of the main town and is connected to the main town via the MN 4 district road. In the east is the Mühlwald forest , the remaining areas are mainly used for agriculture.

In an arbitration award in 1416, the place with "gen den 2 Walhersried" was first documented. In 1657 the hamlet was called "Wiesmähder" and in 1721 "Wallenried Mähder". Michael Port acquired house number 1, the so-called upper mill, from Johann Kohler in 1862 in exchange for the property with house number 68, the so-called Wallenriednahdholz. He cleared the property and built an agricultural property on it at number 126. Ludwig Sauter later divided the property. The economic buildings were built between 1900 and 1908, and the residential building was added in 1922. Franz Sales and Viktoria Sauter received the property in 1924. After Ludwig Sauter's death in 1927, the widow Maria Sauter took over the property for a year before it was passed on to their son Karl. The property is still owned by the Sauter family.
