Walter Ackermann (writer)
Walter Ackermann (born April 19, 1903 in Zurich ; † July 20, 1939 in Konstanz ) was a Swiss pilot and writer .
Life
Walter Ackermann grew up in Zurich . He developed early a passion for gliding , made in 1927 in the Swiss Air Force the pilot's license and hit a career as a commercial pilot one. From 1931 he flew for the Swiss airline Swissair . In addition, he was editor-in-chief of Motor magazine from 1924 . In the thirties he published a non-fiction book , a book for young people and a letter novel ; all works are shaped by his passion for flight.
Ackermann was killed when his machine crashed while approaching the Konstanz airfield .
