Ping'an

Ping'an ( Chinese 平安 区 , Pinyin Píng'ān Qū ) is a district of the district-free city of Haidong in the east of Qinghai Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 750 km² and has around 110,000 inhabitants (2004). Its main town is the Ping'an community .
In Ping'an lies the village of Taktser , the birthplace of the XIV Dalai Lama , Tendzin Gyatsho .
Administrative structure
At the community level, Ping'an is made up of three large communities and five nationality communities of the Hui . These are:
- Ping'an Municipality 平安 镇
- Greater community Xiaoxia小峡镇
- Greater community Sanhe三合镇
- Community Hongshuiquan the Hui洪水泉回族乡
- Community Shihuiyao the Hui石灰窑回族乡
- Community Gucheng of Hui古城回族乡
- Community Shagou the Hui沙沟回族乡
- Community Bazanggou the Hui巴藏沟回族乡
