The Xunhua Autonomous County of Salar ( Chinese  循化 撒拉族 自治县 , Pinyin Xúnhuà Sǎlāzú Zìzhìxiàn ) is located in the southeast of the Haidong administrative district of the Chinese province of Qinghai , about 35.5 ° north latitude, 102.3 ° east longitude. The district has an area of ​​just over 2,100 km² and about 110,000 inhabitants (2002). It borders on the Gansu Province to the east and the Huangnan Autonomous District of the Tibetans to the south and west .

Administrative structure

The Xunhua Autonomous County consists of one large municipality, five municipalities, and four nationality municipalities:

  • Large community Jishi (积 石 镇), in the north of Xunhua, 128 km², approx. 24,000 inhabitants, consists of 17 village committees (村委会);

  • Community Qagan Dos (查汗都斯乡) square kilometers in the west of Xunhua, 69.3, about 12,000 inhabitants, is composed of 16 village committees;
  • Tibetan community Bêmdo (文 都 藏族 乡), in the west of Xunhua, 218 km², approx. 8,000 inhabitants, consists of 16 village committees;
  • Tibetan community Garing (尕 楞 藏族 乡), in the southwest of Xunhua, 226 km², approx. 5,000 inhabitants, consists of eleven village committees;
  • Tibetan community Gangca (岗 察 藏族 乡), in the southwest of Xunhua, 402.5 km², approx. 2,000 inhabitants, consists of three pastoral committees (牧 委会);
  • Tibetan community Dobi (道 帏 藏族 乡), in the southeast of Xunhua, 562.9 km², approx. 12,000 inhabitants, consists of 27 village committees.
