Walter Berns
Walter Berns (born May 3, 1919 in Chicago , † January 10, 2015 in Bethesda , Maryland ) was an American lawyer and political scientist as well as university professor and philosopher .
Life
Berns grew up in his native Chicago. He studied at the University of Chicago and was an employee of the American Enterprise Institute and a professor at Georgetown University . He received the National Humanities Medal in 2005 . Berns died in 2015 at the age of 95.
