Walter Meidt (born January 4, 1908 in Gardelegen , † October 15, 1929 in Hanover ) was a German police officer .

Life

Walter Meidt, born in the German Empire and trained as a police sergeant at the time of the Weimar Republic, protected a gathering of National Socialists on October 15, 1929 and was killed in a street battle during the event. According to other sources, Meidt's death date was October 14, 1929

Meidtstrasse
