Walter Raissig

Walter Raissig (born March 28, 1910 in Bolligen ; † January 23, 1987 in Kilchberg , reformed , entitled to live in Bolligen and Horgen ) was a Swiss politician (FDP) .

biography

Walter Raissig was born on March 28, 1910 in Bolligen as the son of Ernst Raissig and Rosa born Bircher. Raissig devoted himself to studying law in Bern and Paris, which he completed with a doctorate in 1935 at the University of Bern .

Subsequently, Raissig worked as a lawyer . In 1937 he worked as editor of the "Schweizerische Wirte-Zeitung" in Zurich , from 1943 as head of the legal aid department of the Zurich homeowners association and finally from 1948 to 1975 as central secretary of the Swiss homeowners association .

Walter Raissig was first married to Bertha, née Mühlebach, and her second marriage to Berta Frida, née Schwörer. He died on January 23, 1987, two months before his 77th birthday in Kilchberg.

Political career

The political career of Walter Raissig, a member of the Free Democratic Party, began when he was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council in 1955 , of which he was a member until 1969. In addition, he took a seat on the National Council for the canton from 1961 to 1975 .

As an association politician, his commitment was to maintain the liberal state and economic order. He has also published various articles on the Swiss housing industry as well as building and neighboring law.
