Walter Schüßler (politician)

Walter Schüßler (born May 17, 1904 in Bosen , † April 18, 1976 in Saarbrücken ) was a German politician ( FDP ). From 1967 to 1971 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

Schüßler attended the teacher training institute in Ottweiler and from then on worked as a teacher in the Birkenfeld district . He worked as a teacher in Leisel for over 25 years . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

In 1933 he joined the NSDAP , the following year he became a member of the National Socialist People's Welfare and the National Socialist Teachers' Association .

After 1945 Schüßler joined the FDP. In 1966 he was elected chairman of the Birkenfeld FDP district association. From 1952 to 1964 he was a member of the official representation, from 1960 to 1966 a member of the municipal council and from 1960 to 1964 first official member. From 1964 he was a member of the Birkenfeld district council and chairman of the FDP parliamentary group.

In the state elections in 1967 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, to which he was a member until 1971. In Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Administrative Reform.

Walter Schüßler was married and had two children.
