Walter from Hove

Walter Wilhelm Gottfried vom Hove (born December 5, 1881 in Hanover , † June 8, 1932 in Coesfeld ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator .

Walter vom Hove was the son of the married couple Josef August vom Hove (1846–1925) and Rosina Arnoldina Schulte (1853–1903), both from Münster, and after graduating from high school in 1903 studied law in Munich , Königsberg and Geneva . In 1906 he became a trainee lawyer at the Königsberg Higher Regional Court and then received practical training at the Fischhausen District Court (East Prussia) . He did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the 1st East Prussian Field Artillery Regiment No. 16 , but was postponed for health reasons. After holding various positions at regional presidents and district offices , on January 21, 1915, he was appointed to represent the administration of the Lüben district office . Since October 1, 1916, he has been running the Hümmling District Office as a substitute , but despite the unanimous vote of the district council, he has not received a definitive appointment. In mid-October he switched to the government in Münster and became a member of the government on February 27, 1919. On April 30, 1919, he was initially charged with the administration of the Coesfeld District Office, and on November 26, 1919, he was finally appointed District Administrator of the Coesfeld District. He held this office until his death.

He married Beate Maria Margarethe Evers on June 16, 1913 in Bielefeld. A son and a daughter came from this marriage.
