location

history
The place arose, as the ending -dorf suggests, probably as an extension of the Metten Monastery . Wappersdorf belonged to the main Pankofen team in 1464 and to the Rottersdorf team in 1474 . When the community was formed in 1818/1821 Wappersdorf came to the community of Rottersdorf . In 1863 Wappersdorf had 33 inhabitants.
With the municipality of Rottersdorf, Wappersdorf came to the municipality of Stephansposching in the course of the regional reform in 1978 .
Attractions
- Chapel of the Holy Family. The small hall building with onion roof turret was built in 1923 by Karl Pommer. The equipment probably comes from the previous building.
