Rottersdorf is a district of the Stephansposching community in the Deggendorf district in Lower Bavaria . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The church village Rottersdorf is located in the Gäuboden about two kilometers southwest of Stephansposching near the federal highway 8 .

history

Rottersdorf was probably built as an extension of Metten Monastery . It formed a chairman from 1472 and belonged to the Deggendorf regional court , later to the Natternberg nursing court and Natternberg caste office. In 1752 Rottersdorf consisted of nine properties.

When the tax districts were formed in 1808, Rottersdorf came to the Deggendorf district court, Stetten tax district, and formed the II. Section Rottersdorf within it. From this, the municipality of Rottersdorf was formed in 1821, to which the villages of Rottersdorf, Friesendorf , Hankhof , Rottenmann and Wappersdorf belonged. The community remained unchanged until it was incorporated into the unified community Stephansposching on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform .
