Warmonger was an Italian thrash metal band from Padua that was formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2008.

history

The band was formed in 2001 and emerged from the break-up of the groups Warpath and Deathfreak. Shortly after it was founded, regional appearances and in northern Italy followed. In addition, appearances were held in Germany such as at the third Walpurgis Metal Days in Passau or in the Mosh Club in Chemnitz . In 2002 a first demo called Marching on the Warpath was released , which was followed by the single Berr Maniac in 2003 . In addition, a split release Thrashing War Mechanism appeared in 2006 with the befriended band Death Mechanism . In 2008 the band broke up. The already recorded EP Escalation of Violence remained unreleased. In 2009, the album Rites of Vengeance was released on High Roller Records with a circulation of 500. The album contains songs from 2005 and 2006. The recording and mixing took place in January 2005 at the Majestic Studio . The material was then remixed by Marino De Angeli in January 2006 . During their career, the group has performed with Tankard , Desaster , Onslaught , Piledriver , Zemial , Artillery , Assassin , Death SS and Pungent Stench , among others .

style

In the review by Victor Varas on zombieritualzine.wordpress.com , the music on Rites of Vengeance is described as aggressive Thrash Metal, which has been influenced by American bands. The songs would mostly be played quickly and also have a heavy metal influence .
