Warnings - The signs are there ( Silent Warnings ) is an American horror film by Christian McIntire from the year 2003 . The leading roles were played by Stephen Baldwin , AJ Buckley and Billy Zane . The film was distributed in Germany on August 21, 2003.

Joe Vossimer dies. His recently-graduated engineering cousin Layne Vossimer inherits Joe's Oregon home . Layne, Layne's girlfriend Macy Reed, and four student friends go to the country to see the house. They find that the house is shielded from the outside world with iron .
Crop circles appear on the fields in the area . Iris Doyle disappears without a trace. The group is later attacked by the aliens who kidnapped Iris. People discover that the aliens are allergic to iron and fight them.
Only Layne, Macy and Katrina Munro survive. As they drive away, they hear on the radio that people in five states in the western United States and in Canada have been attacked by the aliens.

The film is a so-called mockbuster of the feature film Signs, released the year before, by M. Night Shyamalan. It was filmed in Bulgaria in 12 days on a budget of less than a million US dollars.

The magazine TV 14 wrote: "Unchecked by ' Signs ' copied".
Save.TV described the film as "entertaining" and wrote: "a must for genre fans".
The lexicon of international films said: "Thanks to the inconspicuous staging and solidly timed effects, acceptable entertainment within the usual genre boundaries."
