Michelle Borth (* 19th August 1978 in Secaucus , New Jersey ) is an American actress .

Life

Borth grew up with her two younger brothers in New York. There she attended, among other things, the Pace University and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . Borth made her acting debut in 2002 in the short film Apartment . That same year she made minor appearances in the sitcom Off Center and in the action film In Your Face . In the years that followed, the actress starred in low-budget and independent horror films, including Warnings (2003), The Sisterhood (2004), Island of Beasts (2005) and Trespassers (2006).

Borth achieved greater fame in 2007 through a leading role in the short-lived drama series Tell Me You Love Me , which attracted media attention mainly because of the explicit depiction of the sex scenes. This was followed by guest appearances in the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Cleaner as well as a role in the science fiction film TiMER (2009). Between 2009 and 2010, Borth played the role of Candace Butler in the crime series The Forgotten and has appeared in a recurring supporting role in the action series Hawaii Five-0 as Lieutenant Catherine Rollins since 2010 . In 2011 the actress had two film roles in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and Easy Rider: The Ride Back . In the same year she was also seen in a leading role in the Canadian military hospital series Combat Hospital , where she played Major Rebecca Gordon . In October 2011, ABC announced the discontinuation of the series, and two months later Shaw Media also confirmed that there would be no second season. For the third season of Hawaii Five-0 , Borth was inducted into the main cast of the series. However, at the end of the fourth season, she left the series. From the fifth season she returned as a recurring guest actress.
