The Warren River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia .
geography
The river has its source in the Tone State Forest west of Strachan and flows southwest under the South Western Highway . It then flows through the Warren State Forest and Warren National Park before the D'Entrecasteaux National Park in Coolyarbup in the Southern Ocean flows .

Salinity
The average salinity of the river water was 895 mg / l until 2001 and rose continuously. 67% of the salt load comes from the Perup Rivers and the Tone Rivers , which provide only about 19% of the amount of water in the Warren River. In order to counteract the salinization of the river, a large reforestation program is required for the entire catchment area of the river.
