Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree

The Warren National Park (English Warren National Park ) is a 31 km² national park in the southwest of Western Australia , Australia .

location

The park is about 300 kilometers south of Perth , near the South Western Highway between Bunbury and Albany at the height of Pemberton . Only a few kilometers south is the much larger D'Entrecasteaux National Park .

The Warren River flows through the park and forms with the old Karri forests ( Eucalyptus diversicolor ) - some trees there reach a height of up to 89 meters - the main attractions of the park. The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree , similar to the Gloucester Tree or the Diamond Tree , was used as a wooden viewing platform to spot forest fires in the dry season. Today the tree is open to the public and can be climbed.
