The Wiltshire Butler National Park (English: Wiltshire Butler National Park ) is a national park in southwest Australia , around 267 kilometers south of Perth , the capital of Western Australia . It is located 20 kilometers southeast of Nannup in the Shire of Nannup and 35 miles southeast of Margaret River .
Like the bordering Blackwood River National Park to the west , the Blackwood River flows through it. The area was declared a national park in 2004.
Surname
The name of the wooded park goes back to John Francis Witler-Butler, who was killed in a bush fire in 1958 .
Gas field
Under the 116.45 km² national park in the south, a gas field is suspected that is to be removed from the national park area in order to explore and exploit it.
