Wassili Wassiljewitsch Kapnist
Vasily Kapnist ( Russian Василий Васильевич Капнист ; born February 12 . Jul / 23. February 1758 greg. In Velikaya Obuchowka , regiment Mirgorod in Poltava , Russian empire ; † October 28 jul. / 9. November 1823 greg. Kibinzy , government Poltava , Russian Empire ) was a Russian poet, and dramaturge; Noble Marshal of the Poltava Governorate .
Life
He was about his wife Alexandra Alexewna Djakowa with the poet Derzhavin verschwägert and wrote comedies and satires, which were at that time very popular: Ode to the slavery (1783) and process chicane (1798). His son Alexei Wassiljewitsch was arrested and interrogated after the Decembrist uprising in December 1825, but was then released again. Vasily Kapnist was close friends with the statesman Iwan Matwejewitsch Muravjow-Apostol (the father of the Decembrist Sergei Iwanowitsch Murawjow-Apostol ).
