Wayne Bergeron

Wayne Bergeron (born January 16, 1958 in Hartford (Connecticut) ) is an American jazz trumpeter who has established himself in the jazz and film music scene of Los Angeles as a lead trumpeter .

In the 1980s, Bergeron was a member of Maynard Ferguson's big band and was involved in the recording of albums such as "Body And Soul" (1986), "Big Bop Nouveau" (1988) and "Brass Attitude" (1998). He currently plays with Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band . Before that he played a. a. with the Gary Urwin Jazz Orchestra and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra . His big band CD "You Call This A Living?" (2003), on which he can be heard with many solo features, was nominated for a Grammy for best album by a large jazz ensemble in 2004. In 2007 he released the album Playing Well With Others on Concord Records He can also be heard as a solo trumpeter in numerous film and television productions and has worked as a studio musician for numerous musicians such as Arturo Sandoval , Barry Manilow , Bette Midler , Celine Dion , Chicago , Diane Schuur , Eels , Joe Cocker , Ray Charles , Robbie Williams or Warren Hill .
