Jennie Skulander processes her own experiences in Little Pills . After the end of a love relationship, she also lost her job. She moved to New Zealand and was taking antidepressants . After she started taking these "little pills" she suddenly felt overjoyed. Their failed relationship is also the subject of the song.

Jennie Skulander dedicated the song Never See the Light to her friend Shoki Kamishima, who passed away in 2010. Kamishima was able to imitate the sounds of dolphins during his lifetime and liked to scare people in pubs with this art. A recording of this can be heard at the beginning of the song.

In the song Violation , Jennie Skulander processes a break- in into her apartment. Although the perpetrators were arrested, they were not convicted. At the same time as the break-in, her grandmother and the father of her boyfriend at the time died. In the song, Skulander also criticizes the New Zealand judiciary , which, in their opinion, imposes too low sentences.

Burning Tree and Dirt were each written by Paul Martin. In Burning Tree , the dark side of reality are described as Dirt is that all people after their death to dirt are.
