Wecke & Voigts is a trading company founded in Okahandja , in German South West Africa , in 1892 . It is the oldest of its kind in Namibia .
To Awaken & Voigt belong next to the department store in Gustav Voigt Center at the Independence Avenue , four supermarkets trade group Spar , the wholesale company Wecke & Voigt's National Wholesale and Franchise of the South African fashion house Queenspark , all also in Windhoek.
Wecke & Voigts was founded by the brothers Gustav Voigts and Albert Voigts as well as Fritz Wecke . The company is still family-owned (as of October 2019) and is managed by the fifth generation. The slogan “Something special!” Will continue to be used in German in the company logo . On December 1, 2016, Robert Voigts took over the management from his father.
