The weir wood is a 443.4  m above sea level. NHN high elevation in the German low mountain range Taunus , in the Rhineland-Palatinate Rhein-Lahn-Kreis ( Germany ).

The Wehrholz rises in the western Hintertaunus in the Nassau Nature Park . The summit is 0.5 km west of Rettert and 2 km northeast of Holzhausen an der Haide . The elevation is in the southeastern part of the Einrich . The circular wall ( 448.9  m ) rises about 1.75 km northeast of the summit near the Obentiefenbach hamlet of Hof Spriestersbach.

The Hasenbach rises to the south and west of the mountain .

Natural allocation

The Wehrholz belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Taunus (No. 30), in the main unit Westlicher Hintertaunus (304) and in the subunit Katzenelnbogen plateau (304.9) to the natural area Central Katzenelnbogen plateau (304.92). To the west, the landscape falls into the natural area of Lower Dörsbach-Tiefenbach area (304.91).
