The Weißbierbrauerei Hopf GmbH (Hopf Brewery) is a brewery founded in Miesbach in 1892 . Hopf specializes in wheat beers . In 2015 45,000 hl were brewed.

history

The brewery was founded in 1892. In 1921 the Hopf family took over the brewery and in 1950 set up the bottling plant and the storage cellar at the current location. Since 1975 the beer output has increased from 3,000 to 40,000 hectoliters. In 2006 the Hopf brewery was taken over by Hacker-Pschorr GmbH. Hacker-Pschorr is a subsidiary of the Paulaner brewery group in Munich . The Paulaner Group is 70% owned by the Schörghuber Group and 30% by the Heineken Group.

The German Agricultural Society (DLG) awarded the Hopf Brewery the “Prize of the Best in Gold” for more than 15 years of gold medal wins at the DLG awards. The "Hopf Brew House" in Pattaya , Thailand, produces Hopf beer under license in a small house brewery with wheat beer yeast from the Hopf brewery for local serving.
