The Weilandsiepen is a 511 meter long tributary of the Wupper in the Burgholz state forest in the Wuppertal district of Cronenberg .

Location and description

The Weilandsiepen rises at 218 m above sea level. NN on the south-western slope of the Neuenberg in the Cronenberg district of Küllenhahn, west of the Burgholz forester's house and the forest education center on Friedensstrasse near Herichhausen . The stream flows in a westerly direction in a wooded Muldental in a profile around 1.2 meters wide. Its brook valley separates the Neuenberg from the Kürken elevation and is part of the natural spatial unit Burgholzberge (ordinal number 338.051).

The Weilandsiepen is accompanied on its flow route by rare conifer species that belong to the exotic forest in the Arboretum Burgholz. Around 500 meters after the source, it passes under the Landesstraße 74 pipes and then flows out at 125 m above sea level. NN in the Wupper.

On the DGK5 , the body of water and its brook valley bears the name Weilandssiepen (with two s) in contrast to the name of the Wupperverband .
