The Welmsbach is a right tributary of the Rur near Heimbach , a town in the Düren district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The Welmsbach rises north of the Mariawald Abbey and there north of the road 249. This road branches off west of the source to the north. The stream runs east of the road in a north-northeast direction. Around 400 meters before the estuary, it branches off in a north-westerly direction, crosses under Landstrasse 249 and finally flows into the Rur below the Heimbach dam .
